Aura is a really strong tool for identity protection and, in many ways, the clear choice if you want identity monitoring, data removal, and password management bundled together—especially for a family. What holds it back from a five-star rating for me is the password manager. When I use Aura as the integrated password manager on my iPhone, it repeatedly asks me to sign in again, and it also lacks passkey support. The repeated sign-in issue may be something I’m doing wrong; I haven’t researched it nearly as much as the passkey limitation, and ultimately it’s more of an annoyance than a dealbreaker. The lack of passkey support, however, is what had me looking at alternatives today. For the growing number of services that support passkey sign-in, Aura essentially leaves you to fend for yourself. That has become the biggest pain point for me. As a Linux user, I’ve yet to find a good workaround, so I’ve had to fall back on my not-yet-expired Keeper subscription. I don’t really want to leave Aura, but this problem is only going to become more significant over time as passkeys become more widely adopted. There are workarounds, particularly if you use only Windows or macOS, but if I’m already paying for a password-management solution, I don’t want to have to cobble together multiple services just to get complete functionality. One of Aura’s biggest selling points is that it is supposed to be a seamless, bundled solution. My Keeper subscription expires in January, and if I have to renew it just to get proper passkey support, I may end up canceling Aura altogether.

I am disappointed in the content of the 2 plans I was going to cancel. but at this stage I will just stay here, but I do not think the app offers the protection it describes and is worth the money for the coverage u receive. I would not recommend this Security Service.

I tried to sign up for the 2 week free trial then to do monthly. Somehow 3 of my emails have been used when I just learned of the site today, and it’s now on an annual subscription when I tried so many times to put it on monthly but I would put it monthly and they would say oh you have an account… brand new email had an account when I tried to put it on monthly

I would like to cancel. I can't afford 35 dollars on a monthly cancel my account

Purchased this App, costing $179.99 not knowing it was American. We cannot put in protection for our home address or licence, and now across 3 phones we can't send photos most of the time they are not received or sent, cannot view or load facebook and websites properly. Cannot speak to support online as they are not live now. Would like a refund and no idea how to do this. Would have liked more transparency that it does not function fully in Australia.

They charged me $99 extra without sending me a heads up. Refused to refund my membership after cancellation.

Update9/2/26: I don't know what they changed recently but I am having to verify myself every week or 2 even though I turn on the 30 day button. Cleared the cache and checked for updates,no change. And of course this started after my subscription renewed. This is probably going to be my last year. Still have issues where I have to copy the password because it's not automatically prompting for both the app and windows. It's a PITA to have to keep pulling up the PW vault.

Lied about fees

Aura is pretty intrusive and I was having problems running regular programs and apps. I don’t need most of the features. Unfortunately, it annual renewals itself and is frustrating. Trying to cancel this program!!

The app is disjointed at best. Very few useful features for the money that the service costs.

Kids easily work around the parental controls. Contacted their support and they said that the simple work around was known and nothing they can do. VERY tough to cancel as they won’t help via app and then send you in circles. Avoid
